The project
The owners wanted to recover fully from earlier water problems and reimagine the lowest level of the house, with looks and long-term peace of mind given equal weight.
Robust water management went in alongside high-end finishes. The new layout has a sprawling rec room, a completely rebuilt staircase, a brand-new bathroom and a utility and laundry area.
