The Hex and Arch Suite
A small three-piece bathroom grown into a full primary suite with a walk-through closet.
The project
We expanded into an unused bedroom and carried a structural beam through a load-bearing wall, creating a four-piece spa bathroom beside a new walk-through closet, with room left over for a home office.
A custom blue vanity and quartz counters sit against champagne fixtures and black accents. A hand-framed arch leads to floating shelves recessed into the wall, and behind the freestanding tub a hexagon tile accent wall climbs to the ceiling.
The owners' biggest frustration was a high-sided tub. It was replaced with a zero-entry shower tiled in marble-look porcelain, easy to clean and easy to step into. Full waterproofing, electric in-floor heat, low-wattage LED lighting and low-VOC products round out the build.
