Organic Warmth Ensuite
A dated primary bathroom turned into a relaxing retreat that pairs contemporary design with warm, natural materials.
The project
The layout was reworked to fit a long double vanity, a freestanding soaking tub and a spacious walk-in shower. Matte black vessel sinks sit on quartz above a custom white oak vanity and matching linen tower, with matte black fixtures, backlit LED mirrors, a horizontal shiplap accent wall and a wood-look shower surround.
The goal was to use every bit of the footprint without losing the light from the large windows. Relocating the plumbing put the freestanding tub under the window as the focal point, and large-format vertical wood-grain tile in the shower draws the eye up. A glass enclosure keeps the room open, and a floor-to-ceiling cabinet keeps it clutter-free.
