Rustic Luxe Whole Home
A large multi-level renovation that blends contemporary design with luxury rustic detail.
The project
The centrepiece is an open main floor that connects the entrance, the kitchen and a living room anchored by a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. The kitchen has white Shaker cabinets, stainless appliances, a large quartz island and a classic marble herringbone backsplash, with wide-plank wood flooring throughout.
In a big multi-storey home the levels can feel divided. Instead of partition walls, geometric black metal railings tie the floors together visually and let light from the large windows carry through the house. The kitchen was restructured around the sink, the working perimeter and a multi-function island, and the fireplace was built as an architectural element sized for the high ceilings.
